Fox News is again in the headlines and getting a lot of negative media attention after anchor Megyn Kelly lost her cool during an interview on slain American journalist James Foley, when a Ferguson update came in and interrupted her.

You can see video of what happened embedded below.

Kelly was talking with her guest about the Foley case when video was cut out and footage from Ferguson, Missouri, played on the screen. The footage was labeled a breaking news update because the protests had turned violent once more.

Kelly became visibly frustrated and didn’t waste a second before saying so. “I realize something’s happening in Ferguson,” she said. “But we’re talking about something important here, so can you at least split-screen the video?”

Producers eventually did the split-screen.

Foley was executed by the ISIS after he was captured in Syria, where he was reporting on the conflict, about 2 years ago. Video of his execution by beheading was released online, as a warning to the American government that more deaths like this one would follow if they didn’t stop bombing the ISIS in Iraq.

Tensions in Ferguson rose after the death of Michael Brown, an African American teenager who was fatally shot by a white police officer, even though he was unarmed.

Now that you have the context, judge for yourself: was Kelly right in losing her cool like this or was she out of line? Does she seem to be saying that the beheaded journalist was somehow “more important” than the slain teen, or was she right in complaining about the interview being interrupted?
