In an attempt to gain the attention of tablet and smartphone users across the United States, Fox News has created what could be easily called the next-generation news studio featuring gigantic touchscreens.

What’s so special about this news studio? Basically, it uses 55-inch touchscreen monitors running Windows 8, which once again shows the power of new operating system to be used on various form factors.

"We call these BATs. Big area touchscreens. Just like you, we get our news across multiple platforms and this is the place where viewers can watch us sort it all out as it happens," Fox News says in a clip as reported by WinBeta.

Of course, viewers can see the key features of Windows 8 at work, including the integrated Windows Store and the News app that also showcases some of the stories published by the TV channel itself.
