Target doesn't allow the game to be sold anymore. Surprise!

It was a complete madness when Fox News and their rubbish Mass Effect news report got into the gamers' attention and the entire hell broke loose. Since then, Electronic Arts had a little fight with the news channel, psychologist Cooper Lawrence had her book trashed over Amazon and eventually admitted that she talked about the game without having played it, seen it, touched it. Even the infamous Jack Thompson defended the game via a short interview with Kotaku. Afterwards, things were quickly forgotten and the whole situation seemed to have ended.

In what will probably be the latest echo following this Mass Scandal, Saladheads.com reports that game store Target has decided to pull Mass Effect from the shelves - the game is still in stock, but employees are not allowed to sell it anymore. It is not clear yet whether Fox News' news report was the one that caused Target's decision or some alien forces took over their minds, but we will probably find out soon.

The strangest thing, though, reported by the same website, is that even though Mass Effect, the so-called "porn game", can't be purchased anymore, titles such as Leisure Suit Larry and Playboy the Mansion (where nudity is a common thing) sit next to The Bible Game - all in the discount rack. So, strange things can still happen. Or, sadly, the media indeed has a massive bad effect on everybody.

So, please, game retailers, game haters and Fox News: Mass Effect is not porn. Not even Leisure Suit Larry or Playboy The Mansion are not porn. Actually, there are so few "pornographic" games that I actually tend to believe there should be a tad more. Not to mention the fact that, according to the latest reports, only 6% of last year's games were rated M for Mature. So, please, give us a break and let us play!
