The folks at foursquare have just updated their BlackBerry application with a few bug fixes that are meant to correct some of the issues reported by users.

Although this is not a major release, but a mere update, those who use it frequently are recommended to update to the latest version in order to benefit from the fixes.

According to CrackBerry, the latest update brings some location-related bug fixes and a few more general fixes that have yet to be detailed.

With foursquare, BlackBerry users can share and record the places they visit, or search for the best places to go. The application also offers customized recommendations and deals based on where the user and his/her friends have been.

Foursquare 5.5.8 is now available as a free download via BlackBerry World and it should be fully compatible with all devices running BlackBerry 4.5.0 and higher. Check it out here.
