Owners of Android-based devices can now take advantage of the features and capabilities that a new flavor of the Foursquare application has to offer to them.

Released as version 2013.06.06, the new app iteration comes with new filters in Explore, which enables users to easily refine their searches by distance, price, specials, what's open, places they haven’t visited before, and more.

At the same time, the new app flavor comes with a better map browsing experience for tablets and larger phones when in landscape mode, as well as with a fix for a bug that prevented some people from connecting to Twitter.

Foursquare for Android also received various other bug fixes in the new update, as well as small visual updates, the release notes unveil.
