Foursquare on iPhone is bringing back its most-missed feature, the ability to switch between nearby check-ins and all activity.

Noting that some people use Foursquare to keep up with all of their friends, the company acknowledges that, “sometimes you just want to know what’s going on in your city.” In the updated Foursquare app for iPhone, users can simply drag the screen down on their friends tab to switch between the two views on iPhone.

Foursquare 5.2.2 also includes a truckload of small tweaks and bug fixes, “to make things faster and more intuitive,” according to the release notes. One good example is the ability to add photos to a place from the gallery. The rest, you can discover yourselves.

Foursquare iOS is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
