Staff at Fresco Chafee Zoo in California, US, have announced that, earlier this month, a tigress living in captivity at this facility delivered a litter of four.

The baby Malayan tigers were born on January 5 and, just ten days later, they underwent their first vet exam. It was thus discovered that the litter is made up of two girls and two boys.

None of them has yet been given a name, Zoo Borns tells us.

Keepers say that the cubs are all in good health, and fairly strong given the fact that they were born just a few weeks ago.

For the time being, the baby tigers and their mom are hidden from public view. However, visitors to the zoo can have a look at what they are up to thanks to a camera installed inside their den.

Zoo employees say that those who wish to see the cubs up close will have to wait a few more weeks until they are confident enough to be put on public display.
