Evolve developer Turtle Rock Studios confirms that it's going to drop a huge amount of downloadable content for its multiplayer shooter at the end of the month, on March 31, in the form of four new hunters, one for each class, and the long-awaited Behemoth monster that will be free to all those who pre-ordered the game.

Evolve launched back in February and brought forth its ambitious online shooter experience that combined cooperative gameplay, as four hunters need to work together, with competitive one, as they went up against a human-controlled monster.

The game included 12 different hunters, three for each of the four classes, and three monsters. Even before the game's actual debut, developer Turtle Rock promoted the fourth monster that was going to debut as DLC after launch.

On March 31 the new monster and four fresh hunters are coming

Now, the studio announces on its official website that Behemoth, the fourth monster for Evolve, as well as four new hunters, are going to launch as downloadable content for the online shooter.

While the studio already presented Behemoth in-depth a few months ago, it's now focused on the four new hunters that will join the fray.

First up is Torvald, an Assault character who is both man and machine, thanks to cybernetic implants like back-mounted Mortar cannons, but also with weapons like the shrapnel grenade, or the autofire shotgun. While the mortar rounds can deal great damage at range, he excels in close quarters as well, according to the studio.

Next up is Crow, a Trapper class representative. He uses his pet Batray, Gobi, to scout out the surrounding area and pinpoint both wildlife and the actual monster. He employs a stasis gun that can fire rapidly to slow the monster for a short while, or can be charged to deal a longer-lasting slow effect on the creature. His Kinetic Long Rifle also has a rapid fire mode to deal lots of damage per second, but can also be charged for a shot that goes right through the armor of the monster and takes away its health.

The new Medic character is called Slim, and after DNA modifications, he's more bug-like than human. Even so, his primary weapon, the Leech gun, saps  strength from the monster and causes his Healing Burst to charge up sooner. He can also deploy healing drones to rescue teammates, and the Spore Cloud Launcher masks the scent of the hunters so that the monster can't smell them for a period of time.

Last but not least, there's Sunny the Support character. She can deploy shield drones to protect nearby allies, but also engage a Jetpack Booster to ensure that fellow hunters can boost for longer and not run out of juice when the monster targets them. Her Mininuke Grenade Launcher also packs the most damage out of all the hand-wielded weapons in the game, so there's a lot of incentive to use her in battle.

No word yet on how much the new hunters or the monster will cost, so expect to hear and see more of them ahead of March 31. Until then, check out the screenshots below.
