Authorities in Croatia have announced the arrest of four individuals suspected of being responsible for a series of cyberattacks against websites, including ones belonging to the country’s government and police.

According to Dnevnik.hr, the four suspects were detained on the night between Saturday and Sunday. Computer equipment has been seized by the police.

Police representatives say the alleged hackers are all Croatian citizens, aged between 16 and 25. They’re said to be part of the Anonymous movement.

Law enforcement authorities started monitoring the hacker group after they used a social network to announce their intentions of targeting the websites of the government and Croatia’s Ministry of Interior.

The investigation into this case is still ongoing.

This year, Anonymous hackers have published at least a couple of video statements threatening Croatian authorities. The first video was published on January 4, and the second on March 8, shortly after police attacked a group of protesters.
