Fotoxx, a free, open source Linux photo editing and collection management program that’s easy to use and install, has just reached version 14.02.1.

Fotoxx provides a hassle-free solution to simple photo editing and library management. A new major version has been released, featuring some important changes.

According to the changelog, the Index Image Files (aka Synchronize) now run faster, the startup time is also faster for the normal case of few new image files, a new transition type which simulates turning a book page has been added, and images are clipped to exactly fit the monitor if the difference in aspect ratio is less than a predefined limit.

Also, the Batch Convert has a new option to automatically sharpen images, the "shadow" paintbrush tracks the source of copied pixels, and a bogus error message about exceeding geotag limits has been fixed.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement. Download Fotoxx 14.02.1 right now from Softpedia.
