Foscam has just made available two new firmware packages targeted at several of its surveillance devices, namely versions 11.35.2.59 and 11.37.2.59, which enhance the overall security level of the Dynamic DNS (DDNS).

In order to be clear, while the producer’s 11.35.2.59 firmware package is compatible with the FI8909W, FI8907W, FI8905E, FI8906W, FI8905W, FI8904W, and FI8903W cameras, the 11.37.2.59 update is developed for the FI8919W, FI8918E, FI8918W, FI8916W, FI8910E, and FI8910W network devices.

If you intend to apply this release, simply get and extract the appropriate downloadable archive for your Foscam device, restart the network camera, and connect it to the router through an Ethernet cable (wireless connection isn’t recommended, as it can be easily disconnected).

Now, log into the device’s web UI, go to Device Management → Upgrade Device Firmware → Browse, and navigate and select the .bin file from within the newly-created “System firmware” folder. Afterwards, simply click “Submit” and wait for the camera to reboot.

When finished, click on the “Browse” button from the “Upgrade Device Embedded Web UI” section, navigate to the “Web UI” folder and select the related .bin file, click “Submit,” wait for the process to complete, and that’s all.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your device’s compatible firmware version, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the new software, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
