Foscam has released several firmware packages targeted at its IP cameras, which include a few changes that should improve the overall security level.

The producer has made available the 2.11.2.8 firmware compatible with its FI9826P, FI9821P, FI9831W, FI9826W, and FI9821W V2 IP cameras, and version 2.13.2.8 targeted at the FI9828W and FI9818W V2 devices.

In addition to that, Foscam has also released the 2.14.2.8 update developed for its FI9805W, FI9804W, and FI9805E network cameras.

Through these new releases, all characters involved in the code decryption, username, and password will be even more secure, and the error that allowed both visitor and operator to access “Settings Interface” in certain circumstances is now fixed.

If you wish to update your Foscam camera to the latest firmware version, it would be best if you referred to the installation guide provided within each downloadable record.

However, bear in mind that you should perform the upgrade using an Ethernet cable rather than a wireless connection, and make sure you don’t interrupt the process in any way, as it can cause serious malfunctions to the Internet camera.

That being said, download Foscam IP Camera Firmware 2.x.2.8 for your specific device model, read the installation steps from within the archive, and update your camera. Also, constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
