Foscam has announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for all of its HD cameras, namely version 2.x.1.10, which includes several changes that improve the units’ overall performance, stability, and usability.

Specifically speaking, this fresh update raises the Foscam Dynamic DNS (DDNS) security level, improves the wireless driver stability, enhances the overwrite feature on SD card, and adds setup wizard and patch installation functions.

In addition to that, a pre-record feature has been added to cameras that don’t support an SD card, the RTSP feature and ONVIF protocol are now more stable, and alarm recording uploads to FTP server are supported.

As for the compatible devices, firmware 2.x.1.10 is developed for Foscam’s FI9831W, FI9826W, FI9821P, FI9831P, FI9826P, FI9805W, FI9804W, FI9805E, and FI9828W HD cameras. Also, FI9821W V2 and FI9818W V2 units are also suitable for this release.

When it comes to installing the firmware, simply download and extract the appropriate archive for your camera model, log into the device’s administration page, and go to Settings → System → System Upgrade → Browse.

Now, navigate and select the “FosIPC_A_app_ver2.x.1.10.bin” file from within the newly-created folder, click on the “System Upgrade” button, and wait for the new software to be applied. When the installation finishes and the camera reboots, check the currently firmware version to ensure the upgrade has been successful.

That being said, download Foscam HD Camera Firmware 2.x.1.10, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and enjoy your newly-improved Foscam surveillance camera.
