Turn 10 Studios, as the developer, and Microsoft, as the publisher, have announced that Forza Motorsport 4 will be released during 2011, most probably during the fall, with the new racing game getting support for the Kinect motion tracking technology.

The two companies have not announced the platforms for Forza Motorsport 4, but considering the history of the franchise it's pretty much guaranteed that it will be delivered exclusively on the Xbox 360 home gaming console.

The trailer that was shown when the official announcement was made includes a pretty limited number of in-game shots that look pretty impressive, mixed with footage of pre race preparations and shots of a few wild animals, probably designed to emphasize the concept of speed.

The trailer has also briefly showed that Forza Motorsport 4 will be supporting the Kinect motion tracking system, allowing gamers to move around a car and explore it by just moving their hands and their body.

It's not clear whether Kinect will also be used to control the car during the races or whether the task will be accomplished with a regular controller.

A new Forza game was rumored to be in development ever since this year's E3 trade show when Microsoft used it to demo Kinect before launch, suggesting that the game will feature the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Forza Motorsport 3 was launched in late October 2009 and received regular support through downloadable content from Turn 10 since then, adding more cars that players can use.

The game was well received by players and reviewers who praised the racing engine and the physics it uses with the big known against the game being the limited number of rivals a driver can face on track.
