Forza Motorsport 4 Demo Dated, Season Pass for DLC Detailed

Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios have unveiled a variety of details about the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 racing game, including a date for the demo of the title, information about the Season Pass for the game's eventual DLC, as well as a list of cars that will be available for those who buy the game in the first few weeks.

Xbox 360 gamers are getting ready for a new major release, as after last week's Gears of War 3, Turn 10 Studios is putting the finishing touches on Forza Motorsport 4, set to hit the console in October.

In order to get racing game fans even more excited, the developer, together with the game's publisher, Microsoft, have confirmed a variety of information about it.

First up, the Forza Motorsport 4 demo is out on October 3, for Xbox Live Gold members, and October 7, for Xbox Live Free ones. No other details about the demo were revealed, but fans were encouraged to go out and pre-order the game in order to get the special Launch Bonus car pack, which is included on the game disk of the first editions of the title.

The Launch Bonus car pack includes cars like:

- 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
- 2011 Koenigsegg Agera
- 1997 Lexus SC300
- 2011 RUF RGT-8
- 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport

Besides pre-ordering the game, Turn 10 also encourages players to buy the Forza Motorsport 4 Season Pass, a special voucher that allows them, in exchange for 2,400 MS Points ($30 or around 22 Euros), complete access to six upcoming downloadable content packs for the game.

"Starting 14th October, players can purchase the Season Pass on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and at participating retailers for only 2,400 Microsoft points – redeemable for six game add-on packs, representing a 30 per cent overall saving as compared to purchasing the content separately."

Each add-on brings 10 new cars, resulting in a total of 60, and will be released between November 2011 and April 2012. What's more, those who get the Season Pass will receive the first of Forza 4's DLC, the American Muscle pack, for free.

Forza Motorsport 4 is out on October 11, in North America, and October 14, in Europe.
