The development team at Playground Games and publisher Microsoft are ready to deliver more information on the social side of the upcoming Forza Horizon 2, emphasizing the fact that players will have more ways than ever in the racing game to interact with their friends and their rivals.

The Drivatar system that was part of the Forza 5 release is being enhanced and will be present through all game areas, practically asking the gamer to test his skills against a virtual set of moves and racing ticks based on profiles of his friends.

At the same time, Playground Games states on the Xbox Wire site that “When the time is right to hop on Xbox Live for some online action, the transition from single-player to multiplayer is completely seamless thanks to a notable lack of lobbies or anything else that might force you to wait.”

The Clubs in Forza Horizon 2 will include up to 1,000 members and each of them can define what kind of experiences they want to have when they join a group, but new challenges will be opened up to those who want a social experience.

A new Online Car Meet feature in the racing game is designed to allow players to compare their customization choices for the vehicles they have in the garage with those of any other players, and if they see something they like they can just press a button in order to download and use it.

Playground Games adds that it is also introducing a new mode called Online Road Trip designed to “allow your group to see the sights while exploring the open world between destinations. Once you reach where you’re going, your group will be able to vote on the next destination. Online Free Roam, on the other hand, is precisely what it sounds like: hit the road and go wherever you want to go next.”

Forza Horizon 2 is not aiming to deliver a full simulation experience and wants to focus on the fun aspect of gaming, with a variety of tracks that are based on some of the most interesting roads in Southern Europe, with a high level of detail.

Players will also be able to use some of the most capable racing vehicles on the planet in order to dominate their friends online or to set records offline.

Forza Horizon 2 will be launched exclusively on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft on September 30 of this year.
