14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Playground Games and publisher Microsoft are announcing that Forza Horizon 2 is getting access to a new downloadable content pack, called the G-Shock Car Pack, which is designed to introduce a variety of impressive vehicles, including the 2015 Nissan IDx NISMO, which has not been featured in any racing game before.
All players who own the racing experience on the Xbox One can get access to the new DLC right now, with a 5 dollar or Euro price tag if they get it individually or for free if they have already paid for the Season Pass.
2015 Nissan IDx NISMO is the big star of the pack and the official announcement explains that it "harkens back to Nissan’s storied automotive history, with its compact size and aggressive appearance, and looks to the future with some serious under-the-hood performance. Take a spin in this gem, and you will be startled by its performance and charmed by its presence."
Gamers who do not like it also have the option to use the other vehicles in the G-Shock Car Pack for Forza Horizon 2, the classic Subaru Brat or the superb 1975 Ford Bronco.
The Shelby Raptor is also included, while Ferrari is represented with the 500 Mondial model.
Those who do not want to pay for new content can access the 2010 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 for free.
Forza Horizon 2 was the racing title of 2014
There were plenty of high-profile racing titles launched last year on all platforms, but they either disappointed mechanically or had issues when they were first introduced.
Forza Horizon 2 managed to deliver a very solid blend of arcade and simulation concepts and the title used the power of the Xbox One to beautifully re-created southern Europe and the unique road action it can deliver.
The title was also helped by the variety of events that it can deliver, and the fact that car packs are still being delivered shows that the community built around it has remained active and that the series has a bright future.
