Forza Horizon 2 developer Playground Games confirms that the credits for the game will roll after players complete the Horizon event, which accounts for about 15 to 18 percent of the game's content. Afterwards, they can participate in all sorts of other things and truly explore the Xbox One racing title.

Forza Horizon 2 launches at the end of the month for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 and promises to evolve the experience seen in the original Forza Horizon racing game that appeared on the Xbox 360 back in 2012.

Developer Playground Games has already revealed lots of different details about Forza Horizon 2, from its huge open world that spans the Northern Italy to the Southern France or Northern Spain to its huge car roster that boasts new speed machines like the Lamborghini Huracan.

The new game is a massive experience

Like its previous iteration, Horizon 2 sees players participate in the fictional Horizon speed festival, which is composed of all sorts of races across its big world. However, the game is far from over once players win the festival and the credits roll.

According to Playground's Ralph Fulton, who has talked with Videogamer, the title only keeps players on a leash for the first 90 minutes. Afterwards, they can do whatever they want, as they already know the basics of the game.

"We're introducing stuff for hours, basically. But after about 90 minutes we're happy to let you off the leash. A funny thing happens in this game which didn't happen in the original, and I think it's just due to scale and the amount of stuff that's in here. After being led along quite deliberately for 90 minutes, there's a point where we go what happens next is up to you. For me the game comes alive at that point," he says.

The credits roll after about 12 to 15 hours

The actual end of the campaign happens after 12 to 15 hours of game time, but at that point, players will have only completed around 15 to 18% of the game.

After the credits roll, players take charge of the Horizon festival and start planning out stages of its trip throughout Southern Europe.

"In fact, when you 'complete the game' - and I use air quotes there - when you become the champion, you've seen the credits... you're 15-18% into the game. What's great is at that point a new feature is introduced."

"So you're like 12-15 hours into the game and we actually change it then so that you're in charge of the Road Trip, this big event that happens. Suddenly you choose where it goes, you choose the next destination, and from there there's still so much content, so much more to find and explore."

As such, Forza Horizon 2 players should expect to go through a lot more content after the game's story ends.
