A bunch of new details about the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 racing game have just appeared, courtesy of a survey that was leaked onto the web, including the fact that it will have over 500 cars from 80 manufacturers, complete support for the Kinect motion sensor and even the narration of Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson.

Forza Motorsport 4 was announced at the end of last year, with Microsoft, its publisher, confirming only that it will have support for the Kinect motion sensor, which will track the heads of gamers and allow them to peek around corners on the racing track.

Now, thanks to a survey that was published by Kotaku, we know quite a lot of other details about Forza Motorsport 4.

According to the survey, the new racing game will have over 500 cars from more than 80 manufacturers, which, while not as impressive as the 1,000+ cars in Gran Turismo 5, is still a mighty big figure.

A special showroom mode is also present in the game, which you can control with hand gestures through the Kinect, and you'll be able to hear the car description and specifications from famous Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson.

Microsoft and Forza developer Turn 10 Studios collaborated with Top Gear last year, when it released a special version of its older Forza Motorsport 3 racing game.

"By using Kinect for Xbox 360, racing fans can now use head tracking to peer into a corner or their voice to control the game menus and interface," read the survey. "For more casual players you can enjoy sitting or standing controller free and racing alongside your friends, simply by holding your hands at 10 and 2."

The survey continues, saying that Forza 4 will be the best-looking game of the year, with graphics "10 times better than the previous version," thanks to things like new lighting or shading models.

The game will have an "automotive world tour," which might basically mean that it has a campaign mode that takes you through a variety of challenges, events and races.

Purists will be thrilled to hear that a special Expert mode is included, which turns off all of the driver assistance systems.

The survey also asked players about their thoughts on an "open-world Forza Motorsport game, which allows drivers to go anywhere on the open road, as opposed to closed-circuit racing," but it's not clear whether such a thing is included or not in the fourth game in the series.

Microsoft was quick to reply, but, as usual, said that the survey was only to gauge consumer interest, so we shouldn't think too much of it.

"Turn 10 is always exploring new ideas and concepts to push the racing genre forward in innovative ways. While we have fielded a few surveys to gauge consumer interest in different features for future versions of "Forza Motorsport," nothing that has been reported is necessarily going to make it into any future version. We will have more to share on "Forza Motorsport 4" soon," the company said.

Forza Motorsport 4 is scheduled to appear at the end of the year, exclusively on the Xbox 360 console.
