Perfect World Entertainment has announced the next expansion to its popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game Forsaken World, titled Forsaken World: Blood Harvest.

Forsaken World is Perfect World Entertainment's first attempt at a full 3D MMORPG, and since its release in 2010 it has seen a steady increase in online popularity. The game was developed by an international team of industry veterans, and it introduced a new gaming experience to the space, as well as a comedic touch to the otherwise solemn genre.

The game allows players to choose between six distinct races, the Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Stonemen, Kindred and Lycan, and then start the adventure with one of eight unique classes. Gamers can choose to walk the path of Warrior, Protector, Mage, Priest, Assassin, Marksman, Vampire or Bard, each of them offering an entirely different play style.

Forsaken World also offers over ten occupations, auction houses, extensive PvP and PvE content, complete with a devotion system that lets you pray to the gods in order to receive special blessings and dynamic dungeons that scale in difficulty according to your experience, and an auto-navigation quest system to make sure that you don't waste time aimlessly wandering around.

The upcoming expansion allows players to take on the game's challenges as the new Reaper class, as well as raising the level cap up to 90 and witnessing a radical transformation of their world.

Players will be able to take the adventure to the all-new region of Freedom Islands, in addition to enjoy all the other new content, such as two new skills for all existing classes, new gear tiers and a slew of new instances, events and bosses.

The developers have overhauled the general player experience, with the introduction of new training camps for players above level 60, increased quest rewards for quests under level 70, as well as an overall optimization of the leveling process and a streamlined Soul Power system, enabling players to reach the end-game content faster than ever.

"Between the Reapers and the new level cap, returning players will find a ton to experience with this latest expansion. We've made some major optimization changes for players of all levels and it's now easier than ever to make headway into the far reaches of Eyrda, and the frosty new region of Freedom Islands," said Perfect World Entertainment Product Manager, Justin Scoggins.
