Paula Hamilton is a 51-year-old British model and former judge on Britain's Next Top Model. In the 80s she gained notoriety by appearing in a series of ads for the Volkswagen Golf “Changes” campaign. She portrayed Princess Diana in the famous adverts.

The night of the accident, she was driving home in her sports car when she saw a baby deer and was forced to swerve to avoid it.

Beside her was a 22-year-old unidentified man that was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries, the Daily Mail reports. Witnesses say Hamilton was “out socializing” before the 4 AM crash.

Her car went off the road, hit a lamppost, totaled a garden fence and came to a screeching halt landing in her neighbor Manohar Gogna’s £20,000 ($32,000) conservatory.

The star lost 4 front teeth in the crash, and the implant procedure will reportedly set her back £15,000 ($24,000). She is currently wearing a temporary clip-on brace. To add insult to injury, after the police arrived at the scene of the crash, one of their tracker dogs bit her.

The former model is now claiming she was “mauled” by the beast, which is what led to her losing her teeth.

Officers are investigating her condition at the time of the accident. During the 90s, the press has revealed Ms. Hamilton's problems with drug abuse and cocaine addiction, and her sobriety that night is in question.

Hamilton is not letting one little incident influence her taste in cars.

“Even though I’ve lost my marbles, I’m still going to get another Hyundai. I love this car, man. [...]It saved my life. This cage at the front saved my life,” she said, with a smile.
