ownCloud Inc. has announced that former SUSE executive and ownCloud co-founder Holger Dyroff has now joined the company in the position of  vice president, sales and marketing.

Cloud applications are just making their way into the market. ownCloud provides storage support that offers flexible access to user's data anywhere in the world where is Internet access. ownCloud users can integrate this service with familiar file managers like Dolphin, Nautilus, Finder, and Explorer, and there is even support for Android and iOS.

"ownCloud provides enterprises -- and partners -- with a single, flexible cloud storage application without the lock-in of the storage environment,"said Dyroff. "And because we're open source, our technology can be far more flexible, robust and cost efficient."

OwnCloud Inc. will launch products and service offerings beginning this quarter, but there is already a product available for testing. You can download ownCloud 3 right now from Softpedia.
