The “Ghostbusters 3” movie has been confirmed to come with a twist: the ghost fighters are going to be women. While most of the people out there have been glad that the third movie is getting made, other have protested to the idea of a female cast.

One of those people is Ernie Hudson, a former Ghostbuster himself, who, when asked about the new movie, said he was against it. Ernie wasn't bothered by the fact that the Busters were going to be women this time around, he was bothered by the fact that “Ghostbusters 3” wasn't going to be tied to the previous 2 movies.

“If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it's all female, then why are you calling it Ghostbusters? I love females. I hope that if they go that way, at least they'll be funny, and if they're not funny at least hopefully it'll be sexy. I love the idea of including women, I think that's great. But all-female, I think, would be a bad idea. I don't think the fans want to see that,” Ernie told The Telegraph.

But the movie is getting made, no matter what Ernie thinks. Paul Feig, the mastermind behind “The Bridesmaids” and “The Heat,” has announced that he is directing and that he's already found a writer for the script.

Be that as it may, Ernie can't hide his bitterness, “Maybe it will come out and be the most amazing thing, but in my opinion I think it would be wrong to do another movie that didn't include the guys. And that didn't include me!”

Some of the other original Ghostbusters weren't so bothered by the female cast idea. Bill Murray, for example, was all in favor as he thought that it would be a novel idea. We're still waiting to see what Dan Aykroyd thinks of the new project. The last Ghostbuster, Harold Ramis, sadly passed away earlier this year, before the third movie could get made.
