If you were wondering what the two rugged yet sensitive Brokeback cowboys have been up to lately, here are the updates:

Apparently, the making of the Oscar nominated movie brought the two actors closer together and made them accomplish something real couples rarely can, making a successful switch from being lovers to just being good friends.
So close that Heath Ledger has asked Jake Gyllenhaal to be his baby's godfather and therefore, permanently involving his ex movie opposite into his life. Jake has now the great pleasure and/or responsibility of looking out after the little girl together with his friend and Michelle Williams, Heath's future spouse.

Jack recently declared: "Heath and I are best friends now, making the film was very intense for us. I'm actually godfather to Heath's daughter Matilda which is an amazing honor."

In other news, Gyllenhall has recently achieved a money raising performance after putting one of the shirts he wore in Brokeback Mountain up for an eBay auction earlier this month.
The starting price for the cowboy shirt was $9.99. On February 20th, the closing day of the auction, after more than 150 bids the item was sold to an anonymous fan that paid the unbelievable sum of $101.000 just for the pleasure of having an original Brokeback cowboy shirt.

The money raised by this strangely amusing auction will be donated by the actor to a charitable cause through Variety - The Children's Charity of Southern California.
