14 DAY TRIAL // An Oklahoma City father shows his artistic abilities every morning when he prepares breakfast for his sons. Kevin Blankenship transforms the kitchen table into his working board and creates incredible pancake masterpieces for his boys, Mason and Dax.
The cake artist says that this is a means for him to share his love of art with his two kids. This way, his passion is put to good use and the results are appreciated by the entire family.
“Drawing is, you know we just did simple shapes and colors and that sort of stuff. With this, they want to eat it and it’s easier to do, so we just kind of get together and do whatever we can,” says Blankenship.
Using more traditional mediums, the man has also created other artworks which are displayed throughout the family's house.
Blankenship used to work as a newspaper cartoonist, but turned to the advertising industry when he started a family. For him, the pancake art represents an opportunity to combine cartooning and parenting.
