McAfee has a new vice president for small and medium-sized business (SMB). The position will be filled in by Bill Rielly, who has previously worked as global SMB leader at Apple, where he helped drive the adoption of the company’s products by businesses worldwide.

Rielly will be in charge of overseeing the IT security solutions provider’s SMB segment. He will report directly to McAfee President Michael DeCesare.

“With business owners being targeted by cybercriminals more frequently, security should never be an afterthought,” Rielly commented.

“Customer and company data is more valuable to cybercriminals than many business owners realize. McAfee is committed to protecting their businesses from these threats,” he added.

Before working at Apple, the new McAfee VP worked at Microsoft and at JP Morgan Chase. Rielly is a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point and served in the US Army.
