14 DAY TRIAL // Tapulous, the makers of the insanely popular Tap Tap Revenge series, have come up with a Green Day-themed version of their popular rhythm-based game. Appropriately named Green Day Revenge, the title features 10 tracks from the punk band, including 4 live tracks and 4 un-lockable boss tracks.
Apparently, Green Day Revenge had been approved by Apple for a while now, but Cupertino is only now promoting it via its Twitter feed.
“From the makers of Tap Tap Revenge comes the ultimate game for Green Day fans,” Apple tweeted today.
“Get PUNKed up with Green Day Revenge, from the makers of the hit music game series, Tap Tap Revenge!” reads the app’s description. “This no-questions-asked, all-punk, and all-play app has 10 tracks including 4 live tracks and 4 un-lockable boss tracks.”
“Download Green Day Revenge NOW. Why? Because it's awesome as...well, you know…PUNK!” Tapulous adds.
The full track list includes: 21 Guns (Live); Know Your Enemy (Live); Basket Case; American Idiot; She (Live); Welcome To Paradise; Brain Stew; When I Come Around (Live); Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life); and Longview.
Players can post their results to Facebook, Twitter, or send them via email “to be the envy of all your punk pals,” as well as log in to exclusive Green Day chat rooms from within the app.
Green Day Revenge also offers a way to stay updated on all news Green Day with the in-game news feed, Tapulous said.
Weighing in at 19.4 MB, Green Day Revenge is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires at least iOS 3.0 or later.
The game is at version 1.0 and has been tested successfully against iOS 4.0 builds, according to Tapulous.
