How can an iPod be turned into a vibrator? The Japanese gave this problem a lot of thought and finally came up with a solution than doesn't rely only on the vibration function of the phone. The gPod is the latest hi-tech gadget that aims to satisfy the needs of Japanese women.

I'm not talking about the communication needs, I'm talking about combining music and sex in a new approach, that makes Barry White obsolete. The toy has a classical design, but that's all that's classical about it, because it incorporates the latest technologies in connectivity.

And it really can connect, not only to women, but also to music players or mobile phones and has sensors with high, medium and low music frequencies. "The new phallic symbol is designed to respond automatically to sounds picked up by an accompanying handset, which can plug into anything from a telephone to a music player to a television," according to a report from News.com.au.

"You can use it in many ways, for example hooking it up to your mobile phone," said Ichiro Kameda, the machine's inventor. "The dildo vibrates through the same waves as a voice. So one of the ideas is that you can use it here in Tokyo when your boyfriend in New York is talking to you on the phone."

The inventor did not say how he (or his wife) came up with the idea, but he did say that "he had spent four years trying to design a product when he hit upon the concept." The invention was presented at the three-day Adult Treasure Expo 2007, where around 160 companies or groups are exhibiting products and services, including sex toys, sex machines, videos and costumes.

The gPod made a splash at this first-ever sex toy expo in Tokyo, and the prices were announced at ?25,000 ($243), which is not that much if you want something that really satisfies your needs...
