GoPro cameras are popular adventure companions because you can strap one on your helmet and go about climbing mountains or biking through trails in the woods, while recording these adrenaline-induced moments.

But if GoPros are way too mainstream for you and the quality of the videos they manage to capture doesn’t impress you much, you might really appreciate what photographer Christian Anderl has done with his Canon EOS 7D Mark II.

Think you can’t strap a DSLR to your head? Well, think again. As the video below proves, Anderl came up with some sort of head gear capable of mounting the huge Canon EOS 7D Mark II on his head.

Then he took it out on a plane ride. But this wasn’t an ordinary flight, no sir. Anderl boarded a Pilatus PC-6 Porter, which is a takeoff- and landing-capable Swiss aircraft used by Red Bull Skydive team.

What he did next might sound a little extreme to some, but Anderl jumped off the plane with his Canon 7D Mark II strapped tightly on his head to get a first-person view of the whole experience.

This is certainly something very atypical you haven’t seen before, so take a moment to go through the 5:53 video and check out the results.
