Sick and tired of Google’s Maps or Apple’s Maps? Enter Maps, by Hugo Sheeran, a $0.99/€0.89 app that provides Google Maps with offline viewing, directions, street view, places, search, GPS services, and a “Ruler” tool.

Sheeran promises to deliver a more convenient and versatile way to enjoy new places with his brand new Maps application (which he apparently trademarked).

Some features include: the ability to auto-detect current location, a compass located at the upper left corner of the map (pointing North), a tracking mode, an option to quickly switch between road, satellite, hybrid, and terrain maps; automatically saved maps (for offline access), the ability to find a location using addresses from your Contact list (for stalkers), bookmarks for favorite places, and much more.

Maps lets you set different map types, control types (pan, tilt, zoom, paging), and even get access to 3D road maps of major cities of the world, rivaling both Google and Apple. Real-time traffic is also available in Sheeran’s Maps. Ruler mode helps you find the exact distance between multiple points. Download Maps for iOS 6 and enjoy!
