The sequel to the popular spy action movie “Taken” could include Hollywood veteran actor Forest Whitaker.

Deadline reports that the casting process is still under way, with just the lead actors Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace reprising their roles for this third part, but Whitaker's name has been mentioned.

Neeson plays Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent who, in the first film, managed to retrieve his abducted daughter from a band of smugglers, and in the second, managed to evade getting himself captured by the same vengeful thugs, while Grace returns in the role of the daughter.

Based on a script written by French director Luc Besson and Robert Kamen, the two men behind the first two movies, the “Taken 3” production is said to be more expensive than its two predecessors.

So far, it has yet to be decided what role Whitaker will play in the film, especially since there are still rumors going on about the exact dealings of the plot. The film is supposed to be directed by Olivier Megaton, the one who also helmed the “Taken 2” film.
