Foresight Linux Kid's Edition has been announced yesterday by Ken VanDine on his blog, and it is a Linux distribution oriented towards children which comes packed with many applications for educational and entertainment use. Foresight Linux Kid's Edition also has a highly customized GNOME desktop environment, with a single panel (on top) and redesigned start menu that makes it easy to find programs. Let's take a look at the applications provided by this edition of Foresight Linux:

Education

· Tux Paint - a free drawing program designed for young children (kids ages 3 and up). · Tux Typing - an educational typing tutor for children. · GCompris - a complete educational suite for children from 2 to 10. · Tux, of Math Command - a math practice game for elementary school level children.
