Foresight Linux 1.4 was released yesterday and it's the first distribution that will feature the latest GNOME 2.20. It includes a revolutionary package manager, Conary that's been updated to version 1.1.95, and a innovative set of up to date packages and it is the basis for GNOME Live Media. Foresight Linux is a distribution based on rPath Linux, and its Conary package management.
Foresight Linux has a rolling release schedule, with major releases that coincide with GNOME's 6 month release schedule. This is an advantage for the user, by giving access to the latest software including new features and bug fixes. To make it more interesting, the default GTK theme for Foresight has been changed by adding a brighter shade of green.
Foresight users can upgrade their distribution to 1.4 by using
Conary, using the following command in a terminal:
