Microsoft continues the search for a new CEO, with Ford boss Alan Mulally still dubbed as the one of the leading candidates to take over from Ballmer.

According to a new report by Reuters, Mulally has refused not only to talk about a possible switch to Redmond, but also to dismiss rumors pointing to negotiations between him and the software giant.

Instead, the Ford CEO has replied with the same vague answers used to express his love for Ford.

“I love serving Ford. There is no change in the plan that we outlined in November last year,” Mulally was quoted as saying by Reuters.

In addition to Mulally, Nokia’s former CEO and currently a Microsoftie Stephen Elop is also considered to be on the CEO shortlist, with many believing that in case Mulally says no, he’s the one to replace Ballmer.
