The shapes are comfortable and help spread sound better

There are many things that can set headphones apart from each other, even those from the same lineup of products, and this definitely applies to the latest product collection from Gigabyte. Behold, the Force H headphone series.

Gigabyte did its best to differentiate the five members of the series from each other, but in the end, it still had to make sure they all met a certain standard.

That's why each of the five products uses the same asymmetrical polygonal design for the ear cups, which isn't there just to make them look good and unusual.

The directional angles with asymmetrical polygonal patterns also serve to project the sound better, “throughout the entire body.”

Also, the ear pads can swivel, and the metal headband is adjustable as well. This means that all types of head shapes and sizes are supported.

The ear cushions are made of memory foam, by the way, and are wrapped up in breathable leather. They enclose your ears completely instead of sitting on them, meaning that there's no chance of ache either.

You should be able to wear them for many hours without a problem. It might make you feel hot and sweaty in the summer (although the breathable leather is supposed to mitigate that), but with fall and winter coming, the timing of the release is pretty good.

The five members of the Force H series

Gigabyte calls them H7, H5, H3, H3X and H1. The H3 and H3X have 50 mm neodymium magnet drivers and inclined chambers, while the H7 and H5 up the offer with real 5.1 and virtual 7.1 surround sound effect.

The H1 possesses Bluetooth technology, but we're not sure what its specs are, since the headphone set will be kept in reserve until winter.

In fact, we're not sure when exactly the others will come out either. H3X is supposed to reach stores in October, with H7 and H5 right after.

Either way, all the Force H headphones boast retractable uni-directional microphones and a completely foldable design. The H3 and H3X get independent in-line control as well, while H7 and H5 have a smart control panel. H1 will have on-board control as well.

Availability and pricing

As we said, the new Gigabyte Force HD headphones are expected to reach the market starting next month. Gigabyte expects them to be bought by gamers, but they should work for everyone, especially the H1 when it finally reaches the market.
