Microsoft has begun applauding what it calls the perfect holiday gift, adaptable to the needs and interests of every person and independent of age and budget. "It's mid-December. Your fridge is barren - no milk, no bread, not even condiments, never mind the figgy pudding. You've got a holiday shopping list that rivals the most popular high-schooler's buddy list, but have yet to set foot in a single store," is the scenario proposed by Microsoft for the pre-holiday period.

Fortunately enough, the Redmond Company also provides the answer. Run to the store and start buying Xbox 360 consoles. What would we do without them?! But of course that no video game and entertainment system may be complete without the Xbox Live online entertainment network, Microsoft's "ultimate gift that keeps on giving."

"This year, give friends and family the freedom to personalize their entertainment experiences on Xbox 360. With award-winning titles like 'Gears of War' and 'Viva Pi?ata' and a console that lets them play games in high definition, connect to friends on Xbox Live, and enjoy downloadable games, movies, music and photos, you will find the very best in interactive entertainment to satisfy every wish list," explained Jeff Bell, corporate vice president of global marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.

For the nice, the naughty, and everyone in between, Microsoft is delivering no less than 160 high-definition games from "Viva Pi?ata" to "Gears of War" and "F.E.A.R." and to "Need for Speed Carbon" and a smorgasbord of accessories for the Xbox 360.
