You haven't forgotten about googlemail, have you?

Gmail users have it made for them, everything is working itself out smoothly (with the dev team?s help, we?re not there yet with artificial intelligence and code that rewrites itself) and all they have to do is just enjoy the many features and characteristics that only Google?s email service offers.

One of the lesser known facts about Gmail is that by creating one email address you actually get two. It?s like the offers in convenience stores, with the yellow poster that says "Two for the price of one," only in this case it should be "Two for the price of none." To be completely honest, it?s a very useful option to have, because you can easily create a Gmail filter that will send the messages from @googlemail.com to a special folder, provided you give that address to close friends and people you wouldn?t want to miss anything from. That would work pretty much like a label, only easier to set up because you don?t have to find all the individual addresses for the category.

Another advantage is that you?ll be delivered less spam for an email address, because while having two, you only get 1 X spam. Doesn?t sound like much, but take it from somebody who receives some 50+ unwanted messages every day and has to check them all out to see if there wasn?t something in there sent by mistake. Of course, if there?s a problem with Gmail, you?ll also get double the trouble as it?s usually not worth keeping all your eggs in just one basket. The two are interconnected, so if you lose one, you get, once again, none.

In case you were following Gmail for a while now, you must know about creating multiple email aliases by adding the plus symbol and dots to the username, so there?s something to think about. Which one is more interesting and more useful, the @googlemail.com or the aliases?
