The development team at Sports Interactive announces that it is partnering with the official Football League once more in order to sponsor the Outstanding Managerial Achievement award at the upcoming 2014 award ceremony for football players and trainers.

The studio also says that fans of the football simulation title are involved in the entire process because they are the ones who can nominate those managers who they believe have managed to perform best over the past year.

Sports Interactive explains in the official announcement that, “The award will acknowledge the work of one Football League manager - someone who has orchestrated a generation-defining moment for his club and provided memories that will last a lifetime for fans. This could be anything from defying the odds to gain an unexpected promotion to a giant killing or long run in the Cup.”

Once gamers send in their own choices, the team at Sports Interactive will tally them up, create a shortlist and then rely on a panel of experts from the Football League to make the final choice and decide who wins the Outstanding Managerial Achievement award.

All those who want to offer their opinion on the best performing manager in English football since March 2013 need to either tweet to @footballmanager using the hashtag #FLOMA or they can leave a comment on the official Facebook page of the franchise.

All nominations need to be delivered by noon on Tuesday, March 4.

Football Manager 2014 has long been the dominating series that allows gamers to choose their favorite team from a wide variety of leagues and then guide it towards championship glory or lower league decline.

The team at Sports Interactive has managed to create an experience that simulates almost all aspects of the modern sport, starting with team selection and on the field tactics and finishing with the interactions with players and the way the press needs to be handled.

A new Classic Mode has also been introduced and allows gamers to play a season faster than ever before, with some of the peripheral features disabled but with a strong commitment to realism.

Football Manager 2014 was launched in late 2014 and continues to have solid sales, with the developers delivering a major update in late January in order to update team rosters after the winter transfer window.

Sports Interactive is already working on Football Manager 2015 and will make an official announcement in the coming months.
