The release date of this great game has been set in stone

Sports Interactive and SEGA have announced that their franchise Football Manager will arrive on Linux, starting with the 2014 edition, on October 31.

Football Manager 2014 for Linux will be available in time for all the other platforms and the launch will also cover Linux.

“The addition of Linux to the roster of platforms means that users running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS or higher on a device equipped with keyboard and mouse (and running Steam) will be able to play Football Manager for the first time,” reads the official announcement.

Linux system requirements have been listed: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Intel Pentium 4 Intel Core or AMD Athlon 1.8GHz+ processor, 1 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT, AMD Radeon HD 2400, Pro Intel HD 3000/4000 with 128MB VRAM, and 3 GB of available HD space.
