Sky Sports, the UK sports-orientated television channel, in collaboration with The Sun and News of the World, launched a new mobile video service that brings football to you, wherever you are, via your mobile phone. 24-7 Football is the service we're talking about and will let football fans view live goals on their mobile devices from any English Premier League game or any UEFA Champions League game.

Fans of Manchester, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and all the other great English teams can sure be happy now, as they will have instant access to their favorites' games. 24-7 Football will run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week (as its name suggests), being available on all the important mobile networks in UK. You can pay either a ?5 monthly fee (for unlimited clips) or ?0.5 for every clip you're watching. No additional data charges are included for users of 02, Three, Vodafone and T-Mobile networks.

After the end of every Premiere League match, access to post-match highlights will be provided, via download. Furthermore, football maniacs can get the week's "Best Of" clips, action from the past weekend's Premier League matches as well as live streaming of the TV show Gillette Soccer Saturday (requires 3G phones). Sky Sports News will also be available on your phone, including interviews and daily bulletins.

For the UEFA Champions League fans, 24-7 Football will represent a great service too, providing, as in the case of the Premiere League, goals as the matches are still underway and highlights after the final whistle.

Football is, generally speaking, a manly sport. And, also generally speaking, men tend to want... well, let's see: football, sex and beer? While sex can go mobile (and there are various ways in which this can happen), I don't think beer will. Unless someone invents a beer-mug-shaped cell phone. Hmmm...
