As the final game of the 58th season of UEFA Champions League draws near, cybercriminals and scammers are trying to profit from the sporting event. Experts have spotted a number of spam emails that leverage the big game.

For instance, Italian users are targeted with fake ticket proportions entitled “Scopri come puoi vincere i biglietti per la Finale UEFA Champions League,” translated as “Learn how you can win tickets to the UEFA Champions League final.”

Another scam analyzed by Symantec, this time aimed at English-speaking users, advertises venues in London where the game can be watched. The price is £160 + VAT per person.

While this might seem a good deal, users should avoid such offers because it’s likely that they’re part of a scam. Victims could end up handing over their money to con artists.

Here are some other subject lines used for scammy emails: - Watch the UEFA Final like a true Champion; - Who will win the battle of the German giants? - Spectacular setting for an evening of thrilling sport; - Looking for an exclusive setting for Championship final?

These are just a few examples, but there are probably tens of others out there, so be careful if you plan on attending the big game, or if you simply want to purchase some memorabilia.
