At the beginning of the month, Katie Price became a bride for the second time, as she married her cagefighter boyfriend Alex Reid in front of friends, family and the cameras crews for her and his brand new reality show. Because of this and because Price had sold the exclusive rights to the ceremony, she was not happy to see the paparazzi outside the church, which is why she went inside swearing at them, in what was just one instance of how farcical the entire ceremony was, says the Daily Mail.

As we also reported at the time, Price’s bodyguards got into a brawl with paparazzi before the bride arrived (“only” 1 hour late), because the former had been instructed to allow no one with a camera on the perimeter. Not even guests were allowed to keep their mobile phones, and that’s because Katie wanted only a selected few to have images of her. That did not stop the entire thing from turning into a sick farce, from the way the bride handled herself to the guests and what they were talking about during the ceremony.

“It looked like a Disney film gone wrong. But as Katie Price emerged into the church on her wedding day in a fairytale Swarovski Crystal bridal gown her language was anything but PG. The foul-mouthed bride clattered into the church in a foulmouthed tirade after being bundled from her wedding transportation in a bid to escape the frenzied paparazzi. As the stunned vicar stood watching the undignified spectacle unfold, Katie’s swearing was beeped out for the benefit of the television audience, while he was left to hear it in all its foulmouthed glory,” the Mail writes of the wedding footage shown on ITV, part of the “Katie Price & Alex Reid: For Better and For Worse” series.

“The extravagant event might have looked glamorous from the outside but it was anything but once viewers heard Katie and her friends speak, and even Katie’s mother Amy told the cameras: ‘I’ve got the runs because I’m so nervous.’ After the church ceremony, guests headed to Katie’s home and the garden, which was transformed with a marquee where West End performers presented a show of dancing and singing,” the Mail further writes.

At the reception, Katie instructed the DJ to play her latest single, “Free to Love Again,” and she even mouthed a few words in a mock mini-performance. Besides the Tangoed bridesmaids and the orange bride, what else stood out was the fact that the entire wedding ceremony ran an hour late – but that could very well have been a fortunate event, since Katie is usually two hours late, one guest said for the aforementioned publication.
