More companies remove their Windows Phone apps from store

It looks like more and more companies in the United States are starting to drop support for Windows Phone. Even though Microsoft has just announced its new version of the mobile operating system, which comes with a host of new features and improvements, some companies don't seem impressed at all.

After Bank of America and Vevo pulled their apps from Windows Phone Store or made them impossible to use, another important bank announced it took a similar decision.

Chase Bank confirmed earlier this month that it would not drop Windows Phone support yet like Bank of America had done, instead users would be able to take advantage of its application “until further notice.”

Customers of this particular bank haven't been officially informed yet, but WindowsCentral reports that beginning March 22 they won't be able to use the Windows Phone application anymore.

Just like in Bank of America case, if you want to use your phone to access your Chase account, you should be able to do so via the bank's mobile website (when it works).

Those who try to log in and check their Chase accounts using the Windows Phone application are met with the following message: “As of 3/22/2015, we are no longer supporting the Chase Mobile App for Windows Phone.

“To continue accessing your Chase accounts on your Windows Phone after 3/22/2015, please visit http://www.chase.com on your Windows Phone's browser.

“Please note that Chase Quick Deposit is unavailable on a mobile browser. To deposit checks, please visit a Chase ATM.”

You can only use the full website on your Windows Phone handset

Basically, if you want to be able to access Chase's services from your smartphone, you would have more chances by visiting the full website, since the mobile version has some issues and is not working for everyone at the moment.

Chase's decision to drop support for Windows Phone doesn't seem to be a temporary thing, but there's a small chance that the app might be re-released when Windows 10 for Phones gets launched this summer.

So, there you have it folks, another US-based bank decides that a Windows Phone application should not be available to its customers.
