Another movie-based game

The gaming community already has a World War II simulator, Red Orchestra: Ostrfront 41-45, a Vietnam War simulator, Whirlwind of Vietnam: UH-1, why not develop a Word War I simulator, somebody thought. And this is how Flyboys Squadron came to life.

This game is based on the MGM movie that has the same name, and it depicts World War I air battles. If you want to try it out, you can do so on November 16 when it will hit North American stores. The FlyBoys retail package will include a one month subscription to IENT MMO servers. Another two games will be included in the package, namely two MMO's Warbirds and Armored Assault. The boxset will retail at around US$ 50.

What is peculiar about this game is that it has been rated "E" for Everybody. Isn't there any fighting, combat, WWI planes with swastikas on? I bet those screenshots that I saw were of another game. Anyway, the game is recommended by retired USAF pilot, J.W. "Wild Bill" Stealey, who is also iEntertainment CEO.

The Flyboy movie follows several members of the Lafayette Escadrille, American pilots who volunteered to fight in the French Air Force during the First World War, prior to America's entrance into the war.
