Flyboard Makes You Fly, Leaves You Soaking Wet Too

This isn't really the sort of jet-based flight we see in Sci-fi or spy movies, but the Flyboard from Zapata Racing will definitely make you fly, sort of.

Sure, you won't really get to ascend all that high, and you'll only be able to do it over water, but the question is if anyone actually cares about that.

The Flyboard is a sort of pair of rocket boots that uses water for propulsion.

A watercraft with 100 horsepower or more takes water and pumps it out through the bottom of 'footwear.'

The control is remote for the base configuration (someone else will have the humidity of your skin in their hands), but there will also be manually-controllable models.

The default Flyboard costs €4,900 (about $6,561) while the manual control add-on comes for €900 ($1,204).
