The handset brand of UK-based Meridian Group, Fly Mobile has recently announced plans to release four low-budget Android smartphones in Q3 2011.

Mostly known for its cheap low-end feature-phones, Fly Mobile is focusing on the Indian market.

However, the company has lately lost a fair share of the market due to other manufacturers releasing more competitive devices.

Although Fly Mobile delivers some of the cheapest handsets on the Indian market, the general perception of the company is not that good due to poor support.

In this regard, Fly Mobile officials have issued a statement that unveiled the company's plans to increase its service centers from the current 384 to 450 in the following two months.

The four Android smartphones scheduled to be released by October will be priced lower than most devices in their category and will be delivered with Android 2.2 Froyo on board.

In third quarter of the current financial year we will be launching four Android phones in the price range of Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000,” said Prem Kumar, chief executive officer of Fly Mobile.

The handsets will work on Android 2.2 version and depending on the model they will have three to five mega pixel cameras,” he added.

Furthermore, all four smartphones will offer users access to Fly Mobile's app store, which the manufacturer plans to announce in the next few months.

Fly Mobile is strengthening its app ecosystem and is in the process of launching its app store, which will be India centric. Consumers will be able to experience our store by the third quarter this year,” concluded Kumar.

As the company officials suggest, the upcoming Fly Mobile Android devices will focus on video streaming and music playback.

No further details about the phones' hardware specs have been revealed yet, but we should receive more information in the following weeks.
