Levi's presented its first mobile phone in the summer of 2007, and now Fly Mobile, an European company, offers a new version of the handset for Russia's mobile users.

Levi's The Original is a fashionable phone that weighs 98 grams, measures 96 x 55 x 11 millimeters and comes in a candybar form factor. The device's case and keypad are made of high-quality stainless steel while its top-part, where the Levi's logo is engraved, is made of soft plastic for the users' ears comfort. Moreover, the phone's case has 12 tiny steel bolts that bring in mind the Levi's brand.

The Levi's phone provides GSM 900 and DCS 1800/1900 connectivity and packs an 1.76 inch TFT display (220 x 176 pixels resolution and 262K colors) and a 2 Megapixel camera with flash, auto timer, multi-shots and video recording in MPEG4 and 3GP formats. Other notable features include: GPRS, WAP 2.0, Music player with equalizer (supports MP3, AAC, WAV, MIDI and AMR), Video player (MP4, 3GP and 3GPP), FM radio, JAVA MIDP2.0 / CLDC1.0, embedded games, Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP, USB, PC Sync, Photo ID, Melody ID, currency-convertor, calculator, dictaphone, stop-watch, 64MB of built-in memory and microSD card support.

Levi's The Original packs a 780 mAh Li-ion battery that should provide a talk-time of up to 3.5 hours and a stand-by time of about 200 hours. Not that much, but it's a fashion-orientated phone after all, so its technical specs should not be compared to the ones of a high-end normal handset.

The Levi's phone is now available in Russia, via Fly Mobile, for a retail price of about $520 (340 Euro). It's not a luxury phone in the true sense of the word, to come dressed in gold or diamonds and to cost thousands of dollars, but it's still a good choice for those who want to look good.
