Two Florida gator hunters were terrified when they came upon a beast, 13 feet and 7 inches (4.14 meters) long.

Ben and Louann Williams caught the alligator on Lake George, after spotting it cruising “like a jon boat.”

“We started shaking. […] You couldn’t see him anymore but you could see his wake. It looked like a monster in the water,” Louann recalls.

They estimated that it weighed about 650 to 750 pounds (294 to 340 kg), but couldn't get it weighed by state wildlife officials.

According to Grind TV, they transported it to Jacksonville, then they deposited it at Fisherman’s Dock Seafood Market, their store in Mandarin.

Williams believes that he can now sell the gator's hide, claws and 200 pounds (90 kg) of its meat.
