Meat the Flockers was Team17's tagline when they introduced their new IP, a silly game that takes cues from Lemmings and the Worms series and once again displays the developer's affection for sheep.

Flockers is an upcoming creation from legendary dev Team17, marking the first big thing they're working on in a decade. They describe it as a "twisted blend of Lemmings inspired gameplay and Tim Burton style macabre, all topped off with a dose of that classic Worms humor."

Players will navigate through a steampunk world, guiding hapless sheep through grim and heinous puzzles, attempting to save them from certain doom.

For years, the evil Worms have been exploiting the poor sheep, and now they're finally making a run for it.

In order to escape the tyrannical Worms, the flock will have to dodge and maneuver its way through all kinds of scary machinery and lethal traps, making their way through the confined and hazard-filled weapons factory they are being held in.

Some of the sheep even wear purple beanies, all the more reason to assist them in their daring escape, as they attempt to get away from a fate of impending demise. On their way to greener pastures, many of them will find gruesome and bloody ends, and their destinies will lay entirely within the player's hands.

Flockers will be released on PC via Steam Early Access, sometime during Q2 2014.
