14 DAY TRIAL // The 11-year-old Golden Retriever featured in the video below is probably the gentlest dog you've ever seen. His name is Champ and his owner Candice Sedighan has decided to show the entire world how tender he is in a series of photographs in which the dog gets cozy with a group of newly hatched baby chicks.
In the photos, Champ is seen lovingly nuzzling the tiny birds, letting them cuddle up to him and posing for funny pictures. It's easily noticeable that the dog is very delicate and careful not to hurt his unlikely friends with his paws.
According to Daily Mail, the flock of tiny chicks were rescued from a local hatchery, and the dog did his best to make the house guests feel welcome during their brief stay.
21-year-old Sedighan explained that Champ's behavior “didn't happen overnight” and it took years of training to make him so mild and well-tempered.
“There was an incident years ago when my parakeet got loose in the house and Champ 'caught it' for me, resulting in an emergency visit to the vet and some stitches for the poor bird. With years of training and our ever growing trust, here he is with some baby chicks,” she wrote on Facebook.
The dog has also posed with babies and butterflies, and he was always gentle.
